The WEVCU32B is a metal EV connection unit with a 100A main switch and a 32A B Curve MCB. The main switch provides isolation and the MCB provides overload and short-circuit protection.
The enclosure measures 110mm wide × 175mm high × 91mm deep. These dimensions help when planning the mounting position and cable access.
B Curve describes the MCB trip characteristic. It does not mean the unit contains a Type B RCD or provides smooth-DC residual-current protection.
Choosing protection for the charger circuit
The MCB does not provide residual-current protection. Check the charger's built-in protection and the additional residual-current, DC-fault and any open-PEN protection needed for the complete installation.
The 100A main-switch rating is separate from the 32A MCB rating. It does not make this a 100A charger circuit or establish a charger power rating. Select the circuit protection to suit the load, cable and equipment instructions.
