Choosing protection for the charger circuit
The MCB does not provide residual-current protection. Check the charger's built-in protection and the additional residual-current, DC-fault and any open-PEN protection needed for the complete installation.
The 100A main-switch rating is separate from the 40A MCB rating. It does not make this a 100A charger circuit or establish a charger power rating. Select the circuit protection to suit the load, cable and equipment instructions.
