3 phase surge protection devices are designed to protect three-phase distribution boards, control panels and equipment from transient overvoltages. They guard against surges caused by lightning, switching events and network disturbances, helping prevent damage to sensitive electronics, control gear and plant.
These SPDs are built for three-phase supplies and are available in Type 1, Type 2 or combined Type 1+2 variants. They are fitted at the origin or key distribution points of an installation and are sized to handle the prospective surge currents expected on that system.
