The unit comes with a factory-fitted 4-pole Type 2 SPD, rated at 40kA discharge and suitable for TN-C-S, TN-S, and TT systems.
Is this suitable for EV installations?
Yes – it’s often specified for EV charger mains protection on commercial sites or large three-phase residential installs. For PME earthing systems, use with a PEN fault detection device for full compliance.
Does it come wired and assembled?
Yes – the SPD is pre-mounted and wired inside the metal enclosure. Only final terminations need to be made on site by a qualified electrician.
Can this unit be used indoors?
Yes – the metal housing is IP-rated for safe use in plant rooms, distribution cupboards, or sheltered outdoor cabinets.
