The WEVCU40B is a compact 3-way IP40-rated metal EV connection unit built for reliable isolation and circuit protection on higher-capacity single-phase EV chargers. It’s fitted with a 100A double-pole main switch for safe local disconnection and a 40A Type B MCB for overload and short-circuit protection in line with BS 7671:2018 Amendment 2.
Ideal for 9.6kW EV chargers or heavier single-phase loads, this board provides a simple, regulation-compliant connection point in a durable steel housing. It’s the preferred choice where surge protection is provided elsewhere in the system or not required within the same enclosure.
Installer Tip: For 40A EV supplies, double-check cable sizing and voltage drop. Long cable runs should be upsized to comply with BS 7671 Regulation 525.202.
