To give you flexibility on site, this unit is available in multiple breaker variants. Whether you need a domestic option for standard loads or a device built to handle heavier inrush currents, you can choose the configuration that best suits your install:
- 40A B Curve MCB + Type 2 SPD – suited for standard domestic circuits
- 40A C Curve MCB + Type 2 SPD – designed for circuits with higher inrush currents such as motors or certain EV chargers
- 32A B Curve MCB + Type 2 SPD – for lower-rated installs where 32A protection is required

Is this unit suitable for EV charger installs?
Yes. It is designed for EV-ready supplies where a 40A breaker and Type 2 surge protection are required under BS 7671.
What’s the difference between B curve and C curve MCBs?
B curve MCBs are generally used for domestic circuits, while C curve devices are suited for circuits with higher inrush currents (e.g. motors, some EV chargers). Always check your load type before selecting.
Do I need to add an RCD or RCBO separately?
This enclosure is supplied with an MCB + SPD only. If earth leakage protection is required, use with an upstream RCD/RCBO or specify an RCBO variant.
