The WME08 is a versatile 8-way IP40-rated metal enclosure designed to house MCBs, RCBOs, and other DIN-rail–mounted protective devices. Built from steel and finished in a white polyester powder coating, it offers robust protection and a professional finish for mid-sized domestic or commercial distribution circuits.
With additional wiring space compared to smaller models, the WME08 provides a clean, accessible layout that supports 18th Edition BS 7671 compliance. It’s ideal for use in small consumer units, sub-distribution boards, or EV-ready installs where a neat, compliant enclosure is required.
Installer Tip: When using multiple RCBOs, keep final conductor lengths consistent. Uneven wiring can increase strain on terminations and affect fault isolation performance under BS 7671 Regulation 526.1.

Does the WME08 come pre-wired?
No. It’s supplied empty so you can configure your choice of MCBs or RCBOs as required.
Can I fit surge protection inside this enclosure?
Yes. It can house single or modular surge devices if space and coordination requirements are met.
Does it include a busbar?
No. Busbars should be ordered separately depending on your circuit layout.
Is it suitable for outdoor or garage installs?
Only indoors. For outdoor or damp locations, use an IP65-rated enclosure.
Does it meet current wiring standards?
Yes. It’s compliant with BS EN 62208 and BS 7671:2018 Amendment 2 when installed correctly.

Install securely on a flat wall surface using the four raised keyhole fixings. Check that all knockout edges are smooth before fitting glands or conduits to preserve cable insulation and IP40 integrity. Perform insulation and polarity testing before commissioning.
