This model shares its external dimensions with the WME08. Choose the required enclosure format and check the device layout; the case dimensions alone do not identify the way count.

What is supplied with this enclosure?

Does the way count mean the same number of outgoing circuits?
No. WME10 is a 10-way / 10-module enclosure format. Allow for any incoming switch, SPD or other fitted equipment when calculating the remaining outgoing-circuit space.
Will every MCB or RCBO fit?
Check the exact devices and complete assembly. Modular width is only one consideration; depth, terminals, connections, wiring space and manufacturer compatibility also matter.

WME10 measures 232 × 240 × 112mm, in width × height × depth order.
Which other model has the same external dimensions?
WME08 shares the 232 × 240 × 112mm external size. Use the product code and required way count to select the intended version.
Can it be used outdoors?
No. WCED specifies IP40 for indoor use. Choose an enclosure with protection appropriate for the installation environment.
Does the enclosure alone make the installation compliant?
No. WCED identifies BS EN 61439-3 for the enclosure range. The fitted devices, connections and complete installation still need to meet their applicable requirements.

Device selection, outgoing-circuit capacity and electrical ratings must be established for the completed assembly. The enclosure format alone does not specify those ratings.
Install in a suitable indoor location using the raised keyhole mounting points and fixings appropriate for the mounting surface. Plan the device layout and cable routes before opening the required knockouts. Protect cable insulation at entry points and maintain the enclosure's IP40 protection.
Check device compatibility, enclosure earthing, terminal access and the cable space required by the completed assembly. Follow the supplied instructions for each terminal and fitted device, including conductor preparation and tightening torque. A qualified electrician should assemble, inspect and test the installation before energising.
