Installer Tip: Deburr every knockout before running cables. Sharp edges can damage insulation and breach BS 7671 Section 416 protective-barrier requirements.

Each enclosure in the WME Series is built for indoor use only. When installed in accordance with BS 7671 (18th Edition Amendment 2), these housings provide a safe and adaptable base for custom circuit assemblies and small distribution setups.
Is the WME10 supplied with protective devices fitted?
No. It’s an empty enclosure ready to accept the installer’s chosen MCBs or RCBOs.
Can the WME10 be used outdoors?
No. The IP40 rating means it’s suitable for dry, indoor environments only.
Are busbars included with the enclosure?
Busbars are not supplied. They should be selected separately to suit the circuit configuration.
What’s the difference between the 10-way and larger variants?
The number of outgoing circuits and the overall width increase with each variant, giving more module space for larger installations.
Does it meet current wiring-regulation requirements?
Yes. When installed correctly with compliant protective devices, the WME10 meets the enclosure and containment provisions of BS 7671 Amendment 2.

Mount the enclosure securely using the raised keyholes and suitable fixings for the surface type. Before installation, plan cable entry routes to minimise bending radius and ensure correct segregation of circuit wiring. Knockouts should be smoothed or grommeted to maintain insulation integrity as required by BS 7671 Regulation 134.1.1.
- Ensure the earth and neutral bars are firmly fixed before termination.
- Maintain at least 25mm clearance around the enclosure for heat dissipation.
- Only use indoors – IP40 rating is not weatherproof.
- Label all outgoing ways clearly for future maintenance and inspection.
- Confirm torque settings on terminal bars to manufacturer recommendations.
