The WEVCU20BSP is a metal EV connection unit with a 100A main switch and a 20A MCB, plus a surge protection device (SPD). The main switch provides isolation and the MCB provides overload and short-circuit protection.
Before ordering, contact Power & Data UK quoting WEVCU20BSP to confirm the fitted MCB curve, SPD model and classification, enclosure dimensions and supplied wiring arrangement.
Choosing protection for the charger circuit
The MCB does not provide residual-current protection. Check the charger's built-in protection and the additional residual-current, DC-fault and any open-PEN protection needed for the complete installation.
The 100A main-switch rating is separate from the 20A MCB rating. It does not make this a 100A charger circuit or establish a charger power rating. Select the circuit protection to suit the load, cable and equipment instructions.
