The WSPD140 is a compact single module Type 2 Surge Protection Device designed to help protect electrical installations against transient overvoltages caused by switching events and lightning-related surge activity. With a 20kA nominal discharge current and 40kA maximum discharge rating, it provides practical board-level surge protection in a space-saving DIN rail format.
This DIN rail SPD is suited to suitable consumer units, sub-boards, EV-ready systems and other installations where a compact surge protection module is required. Its single-module width makes it useful where enclosure space is limited but Type 2 surge protection is still needed.
Installer note: Compact SPD modules are commonly used where board space is tight or where a separate DIN rail surge protection device is preferred instead of a pre-built surge protection board.

Compact DIN Rail Surge Protection
A compact DIN rail surge protection device can be useful where a board or enclosure has limited spare space but surge protection is still required under the installation design.
The WSPD140 provides a practical single module SPD option for board-level surge protection within suitable domestic and commercial electrical systems.
