It’s designed for EV charger supplies, heat pump circuits, and renewable installs where higher inrush currents are expected. Built in a robust steel housing, it delivers overload protection and surge defence in a single unit.
With a 40A rating and C curve tripping characteristic, this model is suited to light commercial EV bays, multi-charger installs, and inverter-driven systems such as PV arrays and heat pumps. The factory-fitted Type 2 SPD ensures compliance with 18th Edition Amendment 2 surge protection requirements.
Installer Tip: Choose the C Curve variant when installing equipment with high start-up currents (e.g. EV chargers, motors, or inverter-driven heat pumps). It reduces the risk of nuisance tripping compared with B Curve breakers.
