The WME10/HP40R16 10 Way Heat Pump Consumer Unit is a custom-configured protection board for inverter-driven heat pump systems. It is supplied with Type B HP RCD protection, Type 2 surge protection, a 16A MCB, 3 x 16A RCBOs and a 100A main switch inside a compact metal enclosure.
Installer Note: This board uses Whitecliffe's Type B HP RCD technology, developed for inverter-driven heat pump systems where smooth DC and high-frequency residual currents may be present.

Is this board compliant for heat pump installs under the 18th Edition?
Yes. It includes a Type B RCD and a Type 2 SPD, both required for inverter-driven loads such as heat pumps. For standalone installs, see our Heat Pump RCD.
What’s the difference between the 8-way and 12-way versions?
The devices supplied are the same. The 12-way simply provides more DIN space for adding future RCBOs or MCBs.
Can I add RCBOs to this board?
Yes. Spare DIN ways are included for adding outgoing protection devices. For nuisance-trip resistance, see our High Immunity RCBOs.

This board is supplied pre-wired and must be installed by a qualified electrician. It simplifies compliant protection for heat pump circuits requiring Type B RCD and SPD integration.
