The WMEV206C is a 2-way A-Type RCBO EV Kit fitted with a 6 A C-curve high-immunity Type A RCBO. It provides overload, short-circuit and earth-leakage protection (30 mA AC + 6 mA DC) to 18th Edition Amendment 2 standards and is ideal for control or low-power EV circuits with brief inrush currents.

Unlike a B-curve unit, the C-curve design tolerates startup surges 5–10× rated current, preventing nuisance tripping where inductive or electronic components are present. Compact, pre-assembled and inspection-ready, this kit offers full dual-pole isolation in a durable steel housing.

Installer Tip: Use 6 A C-curve breakers for control gear, signal relays, or EV chargers with internal power supplies prone to small inrush surges. For simple pilot feeds or low-current lines, the 6 A B-curve version is usually sufficient.

    • 6 A C-curve Type A RCBO (30 mA AC + 6 mA DC detection)
    • Dual-pole (1P + N) isolation for live and neutral conductors
    • 2-way compact steel enclosure with hinged cover
    • High-immunity design reduces false trips on inrush loads
    • Fully compliant with BS EN 61009-1 and BS 7671 (A2)
Part Code Rating Curve Typical Use
    WMEV206B 6 A B Low-load pilot or control EV circuits
    WMEV206C 6 A C Control or relay-fed circuits with inrush
    WMEV210C 10 A C Low-rated chargers or auxiliary EV feeds

Each kit arrives pre-assembled for fast installation. Combine with our PME Fault Detection Unit for PEN compliance and load balancing, or add a Single Module SPD for surge defence.

When should I choose the 6 A C Curve version?

Use it for control circuits or small chargers with electronic power supplies that cause inrush spikes. The C curve prevents nuisance trips.

Is this kit compliant for EV installations?

Yes – the Type A RCBO meets 18th Edition Amendment 2 with 30 mA AC + 6 mA DC leakage protection.

Does it isolate both live and neutral?

Yes – the 1P + N RCBO disconnects both conductors for full isolation and safety.

    Can I add surge protection?

Yes – fit a Single Module SPD or upstream surge device where required.

Is it suitable for solar PV as well as EV circuits?

Yes – the Type A RCBO is bi-directional and approved for both EV and PV use.
