The WMEV210C is a 2-way A-Type RCBO EV Kit fitted with a 10 A C-curve high-immunity Type A RCBO. It provides overload, short-circuit and earth-leakage protection (30 mA AC + 6 mA DC) in full accordance with 18th Edition Amendment 2 requirements for EV installations.

Designed for low-power chargers or control supplies that experience brief startup surges, the C-curve profile offers 5–10 × In tolerance to prevent nuisance tripping. It’s pre-assembled in a durable 2-way steel enclosure with dual-pole isolation and clear fault indication.

Installer Tip: Use 10 A C-curve kits for compact chargers or control modules with small transformers or power supplies. For standard 3.6 kW units, a 16 A B-curve is usually more appropriate.

    • 10 A C-curve Type A RCBO (30 mA AC + 6 mA DC detection)
    • Dual-pole (1P + N) isolation for live and neutral conductors
    • Compact 2-way steel enclosure with hinged lid
    • High-immunity design minimises false trips on inrush loads
    • Complies with BS EN 61009-1 and BS 7671 (A2)
Part Code Rating Curve Typical Use
    WMEV206C 6 A C Control gear / pilot circuits with inrush
    WMEV210C 10 A C Low-rated EV chargers / control supplies
WMEV216C 16 A C Standard EV chargers with transformer input

Each kit is pre-built and ready to install. Combine with our PME Fault Detection Unit for PEN compliance and load balancing, and add a Single Module SPD for surge defence where required.

When should I use the 10 A C Curve version?

Use it for low-power chargers or control circuits that draw brief inrush currents. It prevents nuisance tripping better than a B-curve.

Is this kit 18th Edition compliant?

Yes – it includes a Type A RCBO with 30 mA AC + 6 mA DC detection as required under Amendment 2.

Does it isolate both live and neutral?

Yes – the 1P + N RCBO disconnects both conductors for safe isolation and maintenance.

    Can I add surge protection?

Yes – install our Single Module SPD or an upstream surge unit if required.

Is it suitable for PV as well as EV?

Yes – the Type A RCBO is bi-directional and approved for EV and solar PV circuits.
