The WMMS/616 is a compact IP40 metal garage consumer unit supplied with a 100A main switch incomer and pre-fitted 6A and 16A B-curve MCBs. It’s designed for garages, workshops and outbuildings where you want a dedicated lighting circuit alongside a light power or tool circuit, fully in line with BS 7671:2018 Amendment 2.
Use the 6A way for lighting and the 16A way for a small power radial or socket circuit, fed from a suitable sub-main. The steel enclosure, integrated neutral/earth bars and earthed drop-down lid make it a practical, installer-friendly choice for domestic and light commercial sites.
Installer Tip: Treat this unit as a small distribution board on a sub-main. Confirm design current, Zs and disconnection times for both MCBs, and ensure upstream protection is coordinated with the 100A main switch and cable size.
