The WCED WRP440C-030 is a 40A, C Curve, 4 Pole Type A RCBO designed for three-phase circuits where you need combined overload and residual current protection in one device. It suits applications with higher inrush demand such as EV-related installs, motors, HVAC equipment, commercial distribution and selected renewable energy board setups.
As part of the WRP 3P+N RCBO range, this unit provides 30mA high immunity protection with switched live and neutral for dependable fault disconnection and safer circuit isolation. Built to IEC/EN 61009-1 with a 10kA breaking capacity, it gives electricians a solid option for demanding domestic and commercial installs.
Installer Tip: Use the 40A C Curve model where circuits experience higher start-up currents. Where a circuit has more straightforward resistive loads, a B Curve device may be the better fit.
Key Features
- 40A C Curve: suited to circuits with higher inrush current
- 4 Pole Isolation: disconnects all live conductors plus neutral
- Type A RCBO: detects AC and pulsating DC residual current
- Switched Live and Neutral: supports full circuit isolation
- High Immunity: helps reduce nuisance tripping on modern electrical loads
- 3P+N Format: designed for three-phase applications with neutral
- DIN Rail Mounting: fits standard 35mm DIN rail systems
-
Compliant: IEC 61009-1 and EN 61009-1
What is the WRP440C-030 used for?
It is used on three-phase circuits where you need combined overcurrent and residual current protection in one RCBO, particularly where a 40A C Curve device is appropriate.
Is the WRP440C-030 a Type A RCBO?
Yes. It is a Type A RCBO designed to detect AC and pulsating DC residual current.
Does this unit have switched neutral?
Yes. The WRP range includes switched live and neutral to help fully isolate a faulty or damaged circuit.
Is this suitable for higher inrush loads?
Yes. The C Curve characteristic makes it better suited to circuits with higher start-up current than a comparable B Curve device.
What standards does it meet?
The spec sheet lists compliance with IEC 61009-1 and EN 61009-1.
