The WRT150C-030 is a 50A C Curve Type A RCBO designed for heavy-duty domestic and commercial circuits. It combines overcurrent and 30mA residual current protection in one slim 18mm device, with switched live and neutral disconnection for full isolation, bi-directional wiring for solar PV and inverter-based setups, and high immunity electronics to resist nuisance tripping under demanding loads.

Compliant with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Amendment 2) and tested to IEC/EN 61009-1, this RCBO is a robust solution for EV chargers, motors, and high inrush commercial circuits.

Installer Tip: Use the C Curve when protecting circuits with high inrush current such as EV charging stations, large motors, or heat pumps. For low inrush domestic loads, the B Curve model is more suitable.

    Key Features

    • 50A C Curve Type A RCBO – overload and earth leakage protection
    • Switched live & neutral – complete circuit isolation
    • High immunity design – reduces nuisance tripping
    • Bi-directional wiring – ideal for inverter-fed and renewable setups
    • Compact 18mm module – fits standard consumer units
    • 10kA breaking capacity – strong for heavy-duty circuits

When is a 50A C Curve RCBO required?

It’s used on heavy-duty circuits such as EV charging points, commercial motors, and high-load distribution systems.

Why Type A instead of AC?

Type A RCBOs detect both AC and pulsating DC leakage, making them mandatory for EV, solar, and inverter-based installs.

    Does it isolate both poles?

Yes – both live and neutral are safely disconnected when tripped or switched off.

What’s the benefit of high immunity?

It prevents nuisance trips from harmonics, surges, and switching spikes found in inverter-heavy systems.
