The WER16C-030 is a 16A C Curve High Immunity Type A RCBO built for EV chargers, motors, heat pumps, and inverter-fed systems. It provides overload, short-circuit, and 30mA residual current protection, while the high immunity design prevents nuisance tripping in circuits subject to harmonics and transient voltages.
With double pole disconnection and bi-directional wiring, this RCBO is fully compliant with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Amendment 2), making it suitable for both new installs and retrofits in solar, EV, and renewable energy applications.
Installer Tip: Choose the C Curve when fitting EV charge points, motors, or heat pumps with high inrush currents. For low inrush domestic lighting or socket circuits, select the B Curve variant instead.
Key Features
- 16A C Curve Type A RCBO – 30mA residual current, 10kA breaking capacity
- High immunity design – resists false trips from harmonics
- Double pole disconnection – safe isolation of live + neutral
- Bi-directional wiring – compatible with inverter-fed systems
- 10kA rated – robust for domestic & light commercial installs
- Complies with BS EN 61009 and 18th Edition Amendment 2

Why use a C Curve RCBO?
C Curves are designed for circuits with higher inrush currents, such as EV chargers, motors, or heat pumps. They help prevent nuisance tripping on startup.
What’s the benefit of high immunity?
High immunity reduces false trips caused by transients, harmonics, or noisy electrical environments, which are common in solar and inverter-based systems.
Can this be used for EV charger installs?
Yes – it’s fully suitable for EV installs requiring 30mA Type A protection. For PME compliance, pair with our PME Fault Detection Units.
Does it disconnect both poles?
Yes – live and neutral conductors are isolated in the event of a fault.
