The WER06C-030 is a 6A C Curve High Immunity Type A RCBO designed to provide combined overload, short-circuit and residual current protection in one compact device. It is a strong fit for circuits where a 6A protective rating is needed but where a C Curve characteristic is preferred due to start-up current or circuit conditions.

As part of the Whitecliffe WER High Immunity RCBO range, this model offers Type A protection for AC and pulsating DC residual currents, along with double pole isolation and bi-directional wiring. That makes it well suited to modern consumer units and distribution boards where nuisance tripping resistance and installation flexibility are important.

Installer Tip: A 6A C Curve RCBO can be useful where a low-rated circuit still has a higher inrush characteristic than a standard B Curve circuit. Always size the protective device to suit the actual design current and equipment characteristics.

    Key Features

    • 6A C Curve Type A RCBO – combined overload and residual current protection in one device
    • High immunity design – helps reduce nuisance tripping in electrically noisy environments
    • 30mA sensitivity – suitable for additional protection requirements
    • 10kA breaking capacity – suitable for a wide range of domestic and commercial boards
    • Double pole switching – disconnects live and neutral
    • Bi-directional supply – connection from top or bottom
    • DIN rail compatible – fits standard EN 60715 35mm rails
    • Type A protection – detects AC and pulsating DC residual currents

    Compare High Immunity RCBOs

    Model Rating Curve Typical Use
WER06B-030 6A B Lighting and other low inrush final circuits
WER06C-030 (This Product) 6A C Low-rated circuits where higher inrush tolerance is preferred
WER16B-030 16A B General domestic final circuits with low inrush loads
WER16C-030 16A C Small motors and circuits with moderately higher inrush current
WER20B-030 20A B Domestic final circuits requiring a higher current rating
WER20C-030 20A C Circuits with moderately higher inrush current
WER32B-030 32A B Ring finals and other standard appliance circuits
WER32C-030 32A C Higher demand circuits and loads with greater inrush current
WER40B-030 40A B Higher load circuits with lower inrush characteristics
    WER40C-030 40A C Heavier-duty circuits with higher inrush conditions
    WER63C-030 63A C Larger commercial or high-load applications

What is the difference between WER06B-030 and WER06C-030?

Both are 6A Type A high immunity RCBOs with 30mA sensitivity, but the trip curve is different. B Curve is typically used on lower inrush circuits, while C Curve allows for higher inrush current before tripping.

What does Type A mean on an RCBO?

A Type A RCBO can detect both standard AC residual currents and pulsating DC residual currents, making it more suitable than Type AC devices for many modern circuits.

Why choose a high immunity RCBO?

High immunity devices are designed to reduce nuisance tripping caused by transient voltages or electrical noise, which can be helpful in modern installations with more sensitive equipment.

Can this RCBO be wired from the top or bottom?

Yes. The WER range supports bi-directional connection, so supply can be taken from the top or bottom as required.
