The WPEPME12/LBK is an IP65-rated PME consumer unit combining PEN fault detection, adjustable load balancing, and an integrated kWh meter within a single enclosure. It is designed for consumer unit installations where supply capacity is limited and full compliance with BS 7671:2018 Amendment 2 is required.
By continuously monitoring supply voltage and current, the unit disconnects Live, Neutral, and Earth within 4–5 seconds if a PME or PEN fault is detected, removing the need for an earth rod. The integrated load management relay uses a split-core CT to prevent the EV charger overloading the incoming supply, making it particularly effective on properties running multiple high-demand electrical loads.
