    WEV240B-030 is a 40A 30mA Type B RCD designed for applications where smooth DC residual currents and higher-frequency AC residual currents may be present. Suitable for EV charger installations, solar PV systems, UPS systems and frequency converters, it provides broader protection than conventional RCD types.

    Where a standard RCD is not sufficient, this Type B device provides the broader leakage detection needed for inverter-driven and specialist electrical applications. Its compact 2 pole format makes it suitable for integration into compatible distribution boards where Type B protection is required.

    Installer Tip: Always check whether the equipment manufacturer specifies a Type B device before installing a Type A alternative on EV or inverter-led circuits.

    Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671 and the equipment manufacturer’s requirements. Type B RCDs are used where DC residual fault currents or higher-frequency leakage may be present.
