    The WCED EV Connection Unit is a compact 3-way IP40 metal enclosure designed for safe isolation and circuit protection of electric vehicle (EV) charging points. It comes factory-fitted with a 100A double-pole main switch for isolation, alongside your choice of 32A or 40A MCB to protect against overload and short-circuit faults.

    This unit is commonly used where a simple, cost-effective connection point is needed for EV sockets and chargers. It ensures compliance with 18th Edition Amendment 2 and is compatible with further protection devices such as RCBOs where required.

    Available configurations:

    • WEVCU – 100A Main Switch + 32A MCB
    • WEVCU32B – 100A Main Switch + 32A Type B MCB
    • WEVCU32C – 100A Main Switch + 32A Type C MCB
    • WEVCU40B – 100A Main Switch + 40A Type B MCB

    Each version allows you to match breaker size and curve type to the EV charger’s demand profile — whether a 32A single-phase charger on a Type B breaker, or a slightly heavier 40A charger requiring extra capacity.
