The WCED WPF13 13A weatherproof switched fused spur provides a fused connection and local on/off control for suitable fixed outdoor equipment. Its IP66 enclosure makes it a practical choice where a hardwired connection needs protection from dust and water.
Choose it for a specified garden-lighting or outdoor-appliance circuit that needs a fused connection rather than a plug socket. Your electrician should match the fuse and circuit protection to the equipment; the 13A unit rating is not a recommendation to use a 13A fuse for every load.

FAQs
Is WPF13 IP65 or IP66?
Whitecliffe lists WPF13 as IP66 in both the product table and weatherproof range datasheet. The legacy page address contains “IP65”, but the specification for this model is IP66.
What is the difference between a fused spur and an outdoor socket?
A fused spur is for a fixed, hardwired connection with a fuse selected for the equipment. A socket accepts a plug. For plug-in tools or appliances, compare the WPS113 single socket and WPS213 double socket. Follow the equipment manufacturer’s connection requirements.
Does every appliance connected to it need a 13A fuse?
No. The unit rating and the correct appliance fuse are different considerations. Your electrician should select the fuse from the equipment instructions and circuit design, and check the fitted fuse before commissioning.
Can it be exposed to rain?
It is intended for outdoor use with the enclosure, lid and cable entries installed as instructed. The IP rating depends on maintaining the seals and closing the cover correctly; it is not an immersion rating.
Does it replace an RCD?
No. The fuse and switch do not provide residual current protection. Any RCD protection required for the circuit must be provided separately as part of the installation design.
How much mounting space does it need?
The manufacturer lists the enclosure as 112mm wide × 150mm high × 80mm deep. Allow additional room for opening the lid, operating the accessory and bringing in the cables.
