8 Way IP65 Enclosure – 32A C Curve Type A RCBO + Surge Protection (WPRC32CSP/8)

The WPRC32CSP/8 combines a 32A C Curve Type A RCBO and Type 2 surge protection in an 8-way IP65 plastic enclosure. The RCBO provides overcurrent and residual-current protection, while the SPD protects against transient overvoltages.

This /8 version uses the larger enclosure format. The fitted devices occupy part of that space: eight ways does not mean eight spare outgoing circuits. Select the current rating, trip curve and protection arrangement against the charger instructions and circuit design.

A built-in 6mA smooth-DC detection function is not confirmed for this kit. Confirm the required EV DC-fault protection separately.

A qualified electrician must select, install and test the WPRC32CSP/8 against the charger requirements, circuit design and supplied assembly instructions.

• Verify that the 32A rating and C Curve characteristic suit the load, cable and required disconnection performance.
• Confirm residual-current, smooth-DC and any open-PEN protection required by the complete EV installation.
• Follow the supplied assembly line/load markings and wiring diagram; do not infer the feed direction from another RCBO or enclosure.
• Use suitable mounting and cable-entry fittings and maintain the enclosure's IP65 rating.
• Follow the supplied SPD connection, conductor, coordination and terminal-torque instructions.
• Inspect, test and label the completed circuit before putting it into service.

What does WPRC32CSP/8 include?

A 32A C Curve Type A RCBO and Type 2 SPD in an 8-way IP65 plastic enclosure.

Does Type A mean 6mA smooth-DC detection?

No. Type A describes residual-current response to AC and pulsating DC. It does not, on its own, establish a built-in 6mA smooth-DC trip function. Confirm the charger's DC-protection arrangement and the exact supplied kit specification.

Is the RCBO curve the same as the residual-current type?

No. B or C Curve identifies the overcurrent tripping characteristic. Type A identifies the residual-current protection type. Both must suit the circuit design.

Are all eight ways spare?

No. The enclosure format includes space occupied by the fitted RCBO and SPD. Please contact Power & Data UK to confirm the available outgoing space and approved device arrangement.

Does the kit include open-PEN protection?

The listed configuration is an RCBO and SPD. Confirm any separate open-PEN protection required for the earthing arrangement; residual-current and surge protection perform different functions.
