The 8 Way Consumer Unit with main switch incomer is a robust steel distribution board designed for small to medium domestic and commercial installs. Supplied built-to-order with a main switch and your choice of 8 MCBs, it provides a safe, compliant, and flexible solution for new circuits or retrofit upgrades.
Housed in a powder-coated steel enclosure with a drop-down lid, this unit is fully certified to BS EN 61008, BS EN 60898, and BS EN 61439-3. Its IP40 protection rating and multiple knockout options make it suitable for a wide range of applications – from main domestic boards to garages, outbuildings, and small commercial distribution setups. For full 18th Edition compliance, pair with a Type 2 SPD.

Yes. This enclosure is compatible with WCED Type A RCBOs. Using RCBOs ensures every circuit has independent overload and earth leakage protection, reducing nuisance tripping.
