Why use a metal blank instead of a plastic one?

Will these fit plastic boards too?
Yes – they are universal and suitable for both metal and plastic consumer units. They work in standard IP40 enclosures and IP65 plastic boards.
Do I need to blank off every unused slot?
Yes – BS7671 requires all unused ways in a consumer unit to be securely blanked off to prevent access to live parts. This applies whether you’re using domestic consumer units or larger commercial boards.
Can I buy in bulk?
Yes – packs of 10, 50, and 100 are available for trade convenience. Often purchased alongside busbars when fitting out new consumer units.
