The WMCURC6/4 four usable way consumer unit combines a 63A, 30mA RCD and four MCBs of your choice in a steel enclosure with a drop-down lid. Choose the breaker mix for your circuit schedule and order the board and protective devices together.
It is a practical option for a garage, workshop or small outbuilding installation where the design calls for four MCB-protected circuits behind a shared RCD. The IP40 enclosure needs a suitable indoor position; a garage application does not make the board weatherproof.
Plan for the shared RCD arrangement: an RCD trip can disconnect every circuit it supplies. If keeping other circuits running is important, ask about an individually protected RCBO configuration.
| Product | Supplied configuration | Choose when |
|---|---|---|
| WMCURC6/4 — this product | RCD + four MCBs; four usable outgoing ways | You need a four-circuit board with shared residual current protection. |
| WMCU6/4 | Main switch + four MCBs; four usable outgoing ways | Your design specifies a main-switch board, with any required residual current protection provided separately. |
| WMCURC8/6 | 63A RCD + six MCBs; six usable outgoing ways | You need two more outgoing circuits in an RCD-equipped board. |
contact Power & Data UK quoting WMCURC6/4 with the required rating and trip curve for each circuit, board quantity and delivery date. We can confirm your breaker mix and build lead time before you order. Include any enclosure-size limits or requirement for surge protection.
Confirm the RCD type for the supplied build. The gallery shows a 63A, 30mA device, but the photograph alone should not be used to specify a Type A RCD. Agree the required residual current protection with your electrician when confirming the order.
A qualified electrician must select, install and commission the complete assembly using the instructions for the devices supplied.
It can suit a four-circuit garage or outbuilding design where a shared RCD is specified. The IP40 steel enclosure needs a suitable indoor location protected from weather; the electrician must assess the actual environment and circuit protection.
No. Four usable ways means four outgoing MCB positions. The RCD is supplied in addition to those four positions.
Yes. contact Power & Data UK with the rating and trip curve needed for each circuit. Confirm the available breaker mix and lead time before placing the order; the gallery is an example, not a fixed breaker schedule.
Confirm Type A explicitly if your design requires it. The existing gallery shows a 63A, 30mA RCD, but does not establish that the current build will contain the Type A device your installation needs.
A trip of the shared RCD can disconnect all circuits it supplies. An MCB operates for overcurrent on its own circuit. Ask about a suitable RCBO board if the design calls for individual residual current protection.
No. This listing is for the RCD and four MCBs. contact Power & Data UK if you need an SPD, RCBOs or a different complete board configuration.
