Description

The WCED ADR432C-30 is a 32A C Curve Type A 4 pole RCBO for three-phase circuits. It combines overload, short-circuit and 30mA residual current protection, with a 6kA rated short-circuit breaking capacity.

This high-immunity ADR model detects AC and pulsating DC residual currents. Select it where the circuit design and connected equipment specify 32A C Curve protection and a four-pole Type A RCBO.

Key Features

  • 32A rated current: C Curve overcurrent characteristic.
  • 4 pole format: three phases and neutral.
  • Type A, 30mA: AC and pulsating DC residual current detection.
  • 6kA breaking capacity: the ADR4 rating documented by WCED.
  • High immunity: the manufacturer's designation for this ADR range.
  • IP20 device: for installation within a suitable enclosure.

Selecting an ADR RCBO

Check the required current rating, trip curve, prospective fault current and board compatibility before specifying this device. For EV charging, heat pumps or inverter equipment, follow the equipment manufacturer's requirements for residual current protection and any additional DC fault protection.

Choose between the 32A and 40A models according to the circuit design, including the cable rating and connected load.

Installation notes

Install ADR432C-30 in a compatible three-phase board or enclosure using the instructions supplied with the actual device. Installation and commissioning must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

  • Confirm that the 32A rating, C Curve characteristic and 30mA Type A protection match the circuit requirements.
  • Check the prospective fault current against the documented 6kA breaking capacity and the protection design.
  • Verify the device's rated voltage, phase/neutral markings, supply/load connections and board compatibility before installation.
  • Use the conductor sizes and tightening torques specified for the supplied device.
  • For EV or inverter circuits, check whether additional DC fault protection is required by the connected equipment.
  • Test protective operation as part of commissioning.
FAQs

What rating is the ADR432C-30?

It is the 32A C Curve version, with four poles, Type A residual current protection and 30mA sensitivity.

What is the breaking capacity?

WCED's ADR4 technical data specifies a rated short-circuit breaking capacity of 6kA. Confirm the prospective fault current and protection design before selection.

What residual currents does Type A protection detect?

The documented ADR protection detects AC and pulsating DC residual currents. For EV charging or inverter equipment, check the manufacturer's requirements for any additional DC fault protection.

How does this compare with the ADR440C-30?

The ADR432C-30 is rated at 32A and the ADR440C-30 at 40A. Both are C Curve, four-pole Type A models with 30mA sensitivity. View ADR440C-30 and select the rating required by the circuit design.

Is an enclosure included?

This listing is for the standalone RCBO. It must be installed in a compatible board or enclosure by a qualified electrician.
