The WKC220C is a 20 A 2 Pole 10 kA Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) designed for protecting medium-load circuits with moderate inrush currents. The C-curve tripping profile provides additional tolerance during start-up, making it suitable for small pumps, HVAC units, lighting controls, and automation circuits.

This dual-pole breaker disconnects both live conductors simultaneously, ensuring safe isolation and full compliance with BS EN 60898-1. Its 36 mm compact body mounts easily on any 35 mm DIN rail within consumer units, three-phase panels, or IP-rated enclosures.

Installer Tip: The 20 A C-curve breaker is ideal for small motors and fans that draw higher inrush current. For resistive circuits such as lighting spurs, a B-curve may be sufficient.

    Key Features

    • 20 A rated – designed for HVAC, pumps, and lighting control feeds
    • 10 kA breaking capacity – suitable for commercial and industrial fault levels
    • 2-pole design – isolates both live conductors for safer maintenance
    • C-curve tripping – handles moderate inrush currents without false trips
    • Bi-directional terminals – flexible top or bottom connection
    • 36 mm (2-module) profile fits standard DIN-rail enclosures
    • Certified to IEC/EN 60898-1 for 18th Edition compliance

When is a C-curve MCB required?

C-curve breakers are used for circuits with moderate inrush current such as pumps, fans, or fluorescent and LED lighting control systems.

Does this breaker isolate both live conductors?

Yes – the 2-pole configuration disconnects both lines simultaneously for full isolation.

Can this be used for HVAC circuits?

Yes – ideal for HVAC and fan motor protection in commercial or domestic installations.

Is it compliant with BS EN 60898-1?

Yes – tested and certified to BS EN 60898-1, fully compliant with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
