The WKC216C is a 16 A 2 Pole 10 kA Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) designed for small-power and control circuits with moderate inrush currents. The C-curve tripping profile provides a short delay at start-up — ideal for motors, fans, heating controls, and automation panels where current peaks are common.

Dual-pole isolation ensures both live conductors are disconnected simultaneously, meeting BS EN 60898-1 standards for circuit protection and safety. Compact 36 mm body fits any 35 mm DIN rail enclosure including consumer units, modular enclosures, and commercial boards.

Installer Tip: Use a 16 A C-curve on small motor or control circuits where a B-curve may nuisance trip. For purely resistive loads, the B-curve version is suitable, while D-curves suit high inrush equipment.

    Key Features

    • 16 A rated – ideal for small motor and control applications
    • 10 kA breaking capacity – suitable for commercial fault levels
    • 2-pole design – isolates both live conductors together
    • C-curve tripping – allows moderate inrush without unwanted trips
    • Bi-directional terminals – can be wired from line or load end
    • 36 mm width – compact DIN-rail footprint
    • Fully compliant with IEC/EN 60898-1 and the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

    What applications suit a 16 A C-curve MCB?

Used for small motors, control gear, and heating circuits where inrush current might cause a B-curve breaker to trip prematurely.

    Does it disconnect both conductors?

Yes – 2-pole operation isolates both live lines simultaneously for safe maintenance.

Is it compliant with BS EN 60898-1?

Yes – tested to BS EN 60898-1 and fully compliant with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

Can it be used for automation panels?

Yes – commonly installed in control or automation panels feeding motors or relays with brief inrush surges.
