Shop PEN fault detection devices and PME protection units for EV charging installations, including standalone devices, integrated consumer units, load-balancing and three-phase options.
Open-PEN protection selection depends on the earthing arrangement, supply configuration, charging equipment and the protection already incorporated within the EVSE. Confirm the complete design before choosing a standalone unit or combined board.
Quick guide: A suitable open-PEN protection arrangement can provide automatic disconnection under defined fault conditions. The correct method and device differ between single-phase and three-phase installations.

Start with the charger specification and supply arrangement. Some EVSE includes open-PEN protection; other installations need an external device or combined consumer unit. Single-phase voltage-monitoring devices and three-phase solutions are not interchangeable.
Used where a separate open-PEN protection device is appropriate for the designed circuit. Check switching, supply configuration, enclosure and charger compatibility.
Combine open-PEN protection with circuit protection and, on selected products, SPD or load-management components inside one enclosure.
Three-phase installations require a protection method designed for that supply configuration. Confirm suitability for the number and phase arrangement of charging points.

Design responsibility: open-PEN protection must be selected as part of the complete EV charging installation. Check the current charger, device and installation documentation before ordering.
