The WKC310B 3 Pole 10kA MCB is a 10A B Curve breaker designed to protect three-phase circuits against overloads and short-circuit faults. With a 10kA breaking capacity, it delivers safe disconnection in commercial and industrial boards, EV charging systems, and solar PV installations. Compact and DIN rail mounted, it complies fully with BS 7671 (18th Edition) and provides both switching and isolation functions.
Installer Tip: Use B Curve devices for general-purpose resistive loads such as lighting and sockets. If protecting inductive or high-inrush loads, check the C Curve or D Curve versions.
Key Features
- 10A rated current – for small three-phase loads
- B Curve tripping – fast response for resistive circuits
- 10kA breaking capacity – protects against high fault currents
- 3 Pole design – suitable for three-phase circuits
- Bi-directional: terminals accept top or bottom wiring
- Applications: lighting, sockets, small equipment, EV & PV installs
Compare 10A 3 Pole Variants
Model | Curve | Rated Current | Breaking Capacity |
---|---|---|---|
WKC310B (This Product) | B Curve | 10A | 10kA |
WKC310C | C Curve | 10A | 10kA |
WKC310D | D Curve | 10A | 10kA |
Where is the WKC310B best used?
In three-phase systems protecting small circuits with resistive loads like lighting or socket outlets.
How does a B Curve compare to C or D?
B Curve trips at 3–5x rated current. C Curve is slower, tripping at 5–10x In, and D Curve trips at 10–20x In for heavy inrush loads.
Why 10kA breaking capacity?
It ensures the breaker can disconnect safely even under high fault conditions common in commercial/industrial boards.
Is it bi-directional?
Yes — this MCB can be wired top or bottom to suit board layout.
Can it be used in EV and solar installs?
Yes — it’s commonly used in EV charge point protection and solar PV systems.
