The WSPD440 is a 4 Pole Type 2 Surge Protection Device designed for 230/400V three-phase + neutral systems. It helps protect electrical and electronic equipment from transient overvoltages caused by switching events and lightning-related surge activity.
With a 20kA nominal discharge current and 40kA maximum discharge rating, this 3 phase surge protection device provides protection across L1, L2, L3 and Neutral. Its compact DIN rail format makes it suitable for compatible three-phase boards, commercial distribution systems and enclosure assemblies.
Installer note: The WSPD440 is a 3P+N SPD for three-phase systems with neutral protection. For three-phase arrangements without neutral protection, compare with the WSPD340 3 Pole SPD.

3 Phase Surge Protection with Neutral Protection
A 4 pole surge protection device is used where surge protection is required across all three phases and neutral. This makes the WSPD440 suitable for compatible three-phase distribution boards, commercial switchgear and systems where a 3P+N SPD is specified.
Compared with a 3 pole SPD, the WSPD440 includes neutral protection as part of the device configuration. This makes it the correct option where the board design or earthing arrangement calls for three-phase + neutral surge protection.
The compact 72mm DIN rail format allows it to be fitted into suitable boards or enclosures where Type 2 surge protection is required.
