The WKC280B is an 80A 2 Pole 10kA Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) designed to provide dependable overload and short-circuit protection for high-load single-phase circuits, sub-mains and distribution applications. With a B-curve tripping characteristic, it is suited to circuits with low inrush current, including resistive loads, distribution feeds and fixed electrical equipment.
The 2-pole design disconnects both conductors simultaneously for safe isolation and maintenance, while the 10kA breaking capacity makes it suitable for installations where higher fault levels may be present. Its compact DIN-rail format allows straightforward integration into consumer units, three-phase distribution boards and electrical enclosures.
Installer note: B-curve MCBs are commonly used where circuits have lower startup current demand and fast disconnection characteristics are preferred.
