The WMC106C is a 6 A single-pole 6 kA Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) providing dependable overcurrent and short-circuit protection for lighting and auxiliary circuits with higher inrush current such as LED drivers, transformers and control gear. Its C-curve tripping characteristic (5–10 × In) offers greater tolerance to start-up surges while maintaining rapid fault disconnection under BS 7671.
Fully certified to BS EN 60898, the WMC106C fits Whitecliffe consumer units and standard DIN-rail enclosures. It delivers 6 kA breaking capacity and a service life of 20 000 mechanical operations for long-term reliability in domestic and light-commercial use.
Installer Tip: Use C-curve breakers where the circuit has inrush devices like LED drivers, transformers or small motors. Check fault-loop impedance (Zs) values to ensure compliance with BS 7671 disconnection times.
