The WMC106B is a 6A single-pole 6kA Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) designed to provide reliable overcurrent and short-circuit protection on domestic and light-commercial lighting circuits. Rated for 230/400 V AC operation, it features a B-curve tripping characteristic that reacts at 3–5 × rated current - ideal for standard lighting and socket circuits with low inrush.
Fully compliant with BS EN 60898 and suitable for use in Whitecliffe consumer units and most DIN-rail enclosures, this breaker offers consistent tripping performance and a service life tested to 20,000 mechanical operations.
Installer Tip: Use B-curve breakers for lighting and general-purpose socket circuits. They trip at lower fault multiples, helping avoid nuisance tripping on domestic loads while ensuring rapid disconnection on faults.
