The WMC150C is a 50 A single-pole 6 kA Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) providing reliable overcurrent and short-circuit protection for feed circuits, plant equipment and sub-boards with moderate-to-high inrush currents. Its C-curve tripping characteristic (5–10 × In) handles motor and transformer surges without nuisance tripping while ensuring rapid fault clearing under BS 7671.
Tested to BS EN 60898 and compatible with Whitecliffe consumer units, the WMC150C delivers a 6 kA breaking capacity and 20 000-cycle mechanical life. Ideal for domestic or light-industrial feed and distribution circuits requiring robust inrush-resilient protection.
Installer Tip: Select C-curve breakers for circuits feeding motors or plant equipment. Confirm Zs, cable sizing and protective coordination with upstream devices to meet BS 7671 disconnection times.
