The WMC116C is a 16 A single-pole 6 kA Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) engineered for radial and socket circuits subject to higher inrush currents from motors, pumps or power tools. Its C-curve tripping profile (5–10 × In) offers increased tolerance to start-up surges while delivering fast, reliable disconnection under fault conditions.
Compliant with BS EN 60898, the WMC116C fits Whitecliffe consumer units and most DIN-rail boards. It provides a 6 kA breaking capacity and 20 000-operation mechanical life, making it a dependable choice for domestic and light-commercial applications requiring extra inrush resilience.
Installer Tip: C-curve breakers are ideal for circuits feeding motors, compressors or pumps that cause brief inrush currents. Verify Zs and cable sizing to maintain BS 7671 compliance.
