The WKC240C is a 40 A 2 Pole 10 kA Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) providing robust short-circuit and overload protection for moderate inrush applications. The C-curve tripping characteristic is ideal for HVAC systems, small machinery, and feeder circuits where start-up currents exceed standard B-curve tolerances.
Featuring dual-pole isolation, the breaker disconnects both live conductors simultaneously for improved safety and compliance with BS EN 60898-1. Its compact 36 mm housing fits any 35 mm DIN rail across consumer units, distribution boards, or industrial enclosures.
Installer Tip: The 40 A C-curve MCB is well suited for HVAC plant and feeder circuits where a B-curve may trip unnecessarily. For high inrush applications such as compressors or large pumps, upgrade to the D-curve version.
