FAQs

What is this main switch used for?

It’s used as the main isolator in a domestic or light commercial consumer unit, typically switching the entire board on or off safely.

Are the terminals top or bottom entry?

This unit uses twin screw terminals on the top side, offering strong clamping and flexibility for incoming tails or internal wiring.

Can I use this in a 3-phase board?

Not directly - this is a 2-pole switch. For 3-phase isolation, use a 4-pole variant.

Is it compliant with UK wiring regulations?

Yes - it conforms to IEC 60947-3 and is suitable for 18th Edition compliant installs.
