The WFD110B-030 is a 10A, B Curve Arc Fault Detection (AFDD) RCBO, combining arc fault detection, residual current protection (30mA), short-circuit, and overload protection in one compact device. Built to BS 7671:2018 (18th Edition) standards, it delivers advanced fire prevention for modern electrical systems.
Unlike a standard RCBO, this device features microprocessor-based arc fault detection, continuously monitoring the electrical waveform for dangerous arc signals caused by worn wiring, poor connections, ageing circuits, or faulty appliances. When detected, it trips instantly, cutting both live and neutral conductors to eliminate fire hazards.
Installer Tip: The 10A AFDD RCBO is best suited for socket circuits and small appliance circuits in HMOs, student housing, and sleeping accommodation where fire prevention is essential.
This AFDD RCBO combines:
| Model | Rating | Curve | Sensitivity |
|---|---|---|---|
| WFD106B-030 | 6A | B Curve | 30mA |
| WFD110B-030 (This Product) | 10A | B Curve | 30mA |
| WFD116B-030 | 16A | B Curve | 30mA |
| WFD120B-030 | 20A | B Curve | 30mA |
| WFD132B-030 | 32A | B Curve | 30mA |
| WFD140B-030 | 40A | B Curve | 30mA |
Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician in line with BS 7671. AFDD RCBOs are recommended for high fire-risk circuits, particularly in sleeping accommodation and HMOs.
It’s typically used for socket and small appliance circuits in HMOs, rentals, and commercial premises where fire safety is critical.
Yes – fully compliant with BS 7671:2018+A2 and certified to BS EN standards for AFDDs and RCBOs.
Yes – the switched neutral design provides full isolation of the circuit.
It detects dangerous arc faults caused by poor wiring, ageing conductors, or faulty appliances – something standard RCBOs cannot do.
The WFD1 series includes 6A, 16A, 20A, 32A, and 40A models. This page is for the 10A WFD110B-030.
