The WMTP28-R40CSP is a complete 3 phase PME consumer unit for two EV chargers. It is supplied in a 28-module IP40 steel enclosure with dedicated 2 x 40A four-pole RCBO outputs, open-PEN fault protection, a 100A main switch and Type 2 surge protection.
This model is designed specifically for installations serving two three-phase EV charge points. It provides the distribution, overcurrent protection, residual-current protection, surge protection and PME fault-detection arrangement within one pre-wired assembly.
Installer Tip: The WMTP28-R40CSP is the two-output three-phase charger model. If the project requires three three-phase outputs or six single-phase outputs, compare the related configurations in the table below.
Why Choose a 3 Phase PME Consumer Unit?
EV charge points connected to a PME supply require an appropriate protective measure against the consequences of an open-PEN conductor. The WMTP28-R40CSP combines PME fault detection with the protective and switching equipment required for two three-phase charger circuits.
When a qualifying supply-voltage fault is detected, the protection arrangement operates to isolate the EV charging installation. Its suitability—including whether a separate earth electrode is unnecessary—must be confirmed by the installer from the complete installation design and the applicable edition of BS 7671.

Protection for Two Three-Phase EV Chargers
Unlike a range page covering several output arrangements, this product page relates only to the WMTP28-R40CSP. Its two 40A four-pole RCBO outputs are intended to supply two three-phase chargers from a 400/415V three-phase installation.
The connected chargers must include the DC leakage protection required by the charger manufacturer and the applicable installation requirements. Device compatibility, maximum demand, load management and upstream protection must all be verified during circuit design.
