The WME08/HP40C 8 Way Heat Pump Consumer Unit is a dedicated protection board for inverter-driven heat pump systems. It is supplied in a compact metal enclosure with Type B HP RCD protection, Type 2 surge protection and 16A C Curve MCBs.
Installer Note: Whitecliffe’s heat pump range uses Type B HP RCD protection for inverter-driven heat pump systems where smooth DC and high-frequency residual currents may be present. Always confirm the final protective device requirements against the heat pump manufacturer’s specification.

Type B HP RCD protection for heat pumps

Is this board compliant for heat pump installs under the 18th Edition?

What’s the difference between the 8-way and 12-way versions?
The devices supplied are the same. The 12-way simply provides more DIN space for adding future RCBOs or MCBs.
