The WKC225D is a 25 A 2 Pole 10 kA Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) designed to protect high inrush or inductive circuits such as industrial heaters, control panels, and small plant machinery. The D-curve tripping profile allows for short-duration surges up to 20 × rated current, ensuring stable operation without false trips.

It provides simultaneous isolation of both live conductors for safe maintenance and full compliance with BS EN 60898-1. Its 36 mm body fits standard 35 mm DIN rails within industrial enclosures, consumer units, or distribution boards.

Installer Tip: Use a D-curve MCB when protecting plant equipment or machinery circuits with heavy inductive loads. For mixed or lighter loads, use the C-curve version.

    Key Features

    • 25 A rated – ideal for plant, automation, and heater circuits
    • 10 kA breaking capacity – withstands high commercial fault levels
    • 2-pole isolation – disconnects both live conductors together
    • D-curve tripping – tolerates 10–20× inrush current
    • Compact 36 mm width – fits all standard DIN-rail systems
    • Bi-directional terminals – line or load feed from either side
    • Tested to IEC/EN 60898-1 and compliant with 18th Edition regulations

    What is a 25 A D-curve MCB used for?

Commonly used in machinery and heating circuits that draw high inrush current during startup.

Does it isolate both live conductors?

Yes – dual-pole design disconnects both lines simultaneously for maximum safety.

Can it be used for heater banks or plant gear?

Yes – ideal for plant control circuits, heating systems, or automation loads requiring D-curve tolerance.

Is it compliant with BS EN 60898-1?

Yes – fully tested to BS EN 60898-1 and 18th Edition compliant.
