The WKC210D is a 10 A 2 Pole 10 kA Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) designed for protecting circuits with high inrush or inductive loads. The D-curve tripping profile allows up to 20 × rated current during start-up, making it ideal for compressors, transformers, and motor control panels.

Its dual-pole isolation disconnects both live conductors simultaneously for enhanced safety and compliance with BS EN 60898-1. The 36 mm compact body fits standard 35 mm DIN-rails in consumer units, industrial enclosures, and commercial boards.

Installer Tip: Choose a D-curve MCB when protecting motors or transformers that draw large start-up currents. If the equipment has lower surge demand, a C-curve version is sufficient.

    Key Features

    • 10 A rated – suitable for compressors, control gear, and motors
    • 10 kA breaking capacity – safe for industrial fault levels
    • 2-pole isolation – disconnects both live conductors together
    • D-curve tripping – tolerates high inrush (10–20× rated current)
    • Bi-directional terminals – line or load feed either end
    • 36 mm width – compact DIN-rail fit
    • Tested to IEC/EN 60898-1 for 18th Edition compliance

When is a D-curve MCB recommended?

Use for inductive loads with high startup current – such as compressors, motors, or transformers.

    Does it disconnect both conductors?

Yes – the 2-pole design disconnects both live lines simultaneously for safe isolation.

Can it be used in industrial control panels?

Yes – commonly used in control and plant equipment panels for motor protection.

    Is it 18th Edition compliant?

Yes – fully tested to BS EN 60898-1 and suitable for 18th Edition installations.
