The WRT116C-030 is a 16A C Curve Type A RCBO combining overcurrent and 30mA residual current protection in one slimline device. With switched live and neutral disconnection, bi-directional wiring for solar PV and inverter-fed systems, and high immunity electronics to minimise nuisance trips, it is an excellent choice for EV chargers, motors, and heat pump circuits.

Designed to detect both AC and pulsating DC leakage currents, this RCBO is fully compliant with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Amendment 2) and installs easily in standard 18mm DIN rail consumer units.

Installer Tip: The C Curve is recommended for circuits with high inrush loads such as EV chargers, motors, and heat pumps. For domestic lighting or small socket circuits, the B Curve variant is more appropriate.

    Key Features

    • 16A C Curve Type A RCBO – overload + residual protection
    • Switched live & neutral – disconnects both conductors
    • High immunity design – prevents nuisance tripping
    • Bi-directional wiring – compatible with solar PV / inverter systems
    • Compact 18mm module – space-saving DIN rail fit
    • 10kA breaking capacity – suitable for residential and light commercial installs
    • Tested to IEC/EN 61009-1

    When should I choose a 16A C Curve RCBO?

For circuits supplying EV chargers, motors, or heat pumps where inrush currents are higher at startup.

Why Type A instead of AC?

Type A RCBOs detect pulsating DC as well as AC leakage currents, making them essential for modern electronic and renewable energy systems.

Does this device isolate both poles?

Yes – live and neutral are both disconnected when tripped or switched off.

What is the role of high immunity?

It reduces nuisance tripping caused by harmonics, switching surges, or transient voltages from inverter-driven systems.
