The WKC206D is a 6 A 2 Pole 10 kA Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) engineered for circuits with high inductive or transformer inrush current. Its D-curve tripping profile allows 10–20× rated current on energisation, providing reliable protection for motors, coils, transformers, and control gear without nuisance tripping.

With dual-pole isolation, both live conductors disconnect simultaneously for safe maintenance and full compliance with BS EN 60898-1. Compact 36 mm body fits all 35 mm DIN-rail enclosures including consumer units, industrial enclosures, and three-phase panels.

Installer Tip: Use a D-curve when protecting circuits with high start-up surge – for example, motors, transformers or inductive control gear. For lighting or low-inrush loads, see the C-curve model.

    Key Features

    • 6 A rated – ideal for transformers, motors, and control gear
    • 10 kA breaking capacity – safe for industrial fault levels
    • 2-pole isolation – disconnects both live conductors simultaneously
    • D-curve tripping – tolerates 10–20× inrush current on startup
    • Bi-directional terminals – connect from top or bottom feed
    • 36 mm (2-module) width for compact DIN-rail mount
    • Certified to IEC/EN 60898-1 and the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

When is a D-curve MCB required?

D-curve breakers are used for motors, transformers or other high inrush equipment that might trip B or C curves on startup.

Does it disconnect both live conductors?

Yes – 2-pole isolation cuts both lines simultaneously for safe maintenance.

Can it be used in industrial control panels?

Yes – ideal for panels with coils, contactors, or transformers drawing brief surge currents.

    Is it 18th Edition compliant?

Yes – tested to BS EN 60898-1 and fully compliant with current wiring standards.
