The WCED WFR4 Series is a 4 Pole Type A RCBO range covering 6A to 40A ratings, with both B and C curve options. These devices combine residual current protection and overcurrent protection in one unit, providing full disconnection of live and neutral conductors for safer, more reliable installs.

With switched neutral built in as standard, the WFR4 RCBOs simplify insulation resistance testing and ensure circuits are completely isolated in the event of a fault. This avoids nuisance tripping across other ways and keeps healthy circuits in service. Each device is bidirectional, high immunity, and fully compliant with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

Available variants in the WFR4 Series include:

    • WFR406B-030 – 6A, B Curve
    • WFR406C-030 – 6A, C Curve
    • WFR410B-030 – 10A, B Curve
    • WFR410C-030 – 10A, C Curve
    • WFR416B-030 – 16A, B Curve
    • WFR416C-030 – 16A, C Curve
    • WFR420B-030 – 20A, B Curve
    • WFR420C-030 – 20A, C Curve
    • WFR432B-030 – 32A, B Curve
    • WFR432C-030 – 32A, C Curve
    • WFR440B-030 – 40A, B Curve
    • WFR440C-030 – 40A, C Curve

This full range allows you to match the RCBO rating and trip curve precisely to the circuit requirements - from small lighting circuits up to higher inrush commercial or EV applications.

What’s the difference between B curve and C curve RCBOs?

B curve devices trip faster, making them suitable for domestic and resistive loads like sockets and lighting. C curve devices allow higher inrush current before tripping, which is needed for EV chargers, motors, and solar circuits.

Why use a 4 pole RCBO instead of 2 pole?

A 4 pole RCBO disconnects both live and neutral conductors, providing full isolation. This is required in many commercial, EV, and renewable applications for safe compliance.

    What current ratings are available?

    The WFR4 range covers 6A, 10A, 16A, 20A, 25A, 32A, and 40A. Each is available in both B and C trip curves.

Is this product EV and solar ready?

Yes. These RCBOs are Type A, bidirectional, and high immunity — making them fully suitable for EV chargers, solar inverters, and other renewable systems.

Do they comply with UK wiring regulations?

Yes. The WFR4 Series is tested and certified to BS EN 61009-1 and fully supports compliance with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

    • Device Type: 4 Pole Type A RCBO
    • Trip Curves: B and C available
    • Current Ratings: 6A, 10A, 16A, 20A, 25A, 32A, 40A
