The A-Type RCBO EV Kit is a 2-way enclosure pre-fitted with your choice of Type A high immunity RCBO. Designed specifically for EV charger supplies, it provides overload, short-circuit, and earth leakage protection with 30mA AC + 6mA DC detection to meet 18th Edition Amendment 2 requirements.
This unit combines robust circuit protection with a dual-switch action that clearly indicates the type of fault detected. It is compact, compliant, and ready for direct use in domestic and light commercial EV installations.

Is this kit compliant for EV charger installs?
Yes. It includes a Type A RCBO with 30mA AC + 6mA DC detection, as required under 18th Edition Amendment 2 for EV circuits. For outdoor installs, consider our IP65 RCBO + SPD Enclosure.
Which RCBO ratings are available?

Does this unit protect against both live and neutral faults?
Yes. The switched neutral design ensures full isolation of both conductors under fault conditions. For additional surge defence, pair with a Single Module SPD.
Can this be used for solar PV as well as EV?
