    The WER32C/Solus is a 32A C Curve Type A RCBO with integrated Surge Protection, supplied in a pre-assembled Solus Pack. It provides 30mA residual current protection with full overload defence, while the built-in Type 2 SPD ensures compliance with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Amendment 2) for EV charging circuits, solar PV, and inverter-fed systems.

    Built with high immunity electronics, this unit resists nuisance tripping caused by harmonics or switching surges. The C Curve tripping characteristic makes it suitable for EV chargers, motors, and circuits with higher inrush currents.

    Installer Tip: Opt for the C Curve when installing EV charge points, heat pumps, or motor circuits. If fitting standard domestic lighting or socket loads, the B Curve variant is often more suitable.

    What’s the difference between the B and C curve?

    B curves trip faster on low inrush loads. C curves are designed for circuits with higher inrush currents such as EV charge points, motors, or heat pumps.

    Yes – a Type 2 SPD is integrated, meeting Amendment 2 surge protection requirements.

    Can I use this for EV chargers?

    Yes. Type A RCBO + SPD is suitable for most EV charger manufacturers. For PME systems, pair with our PME Fault Detection Units.
